Happy & Glorious
Happy & Glorious celebrates the Coronation. This piece was inspired by the day that brought together centuries of history and tradition, and gave the nation cause to rejoice.
Designed and engraved by the artist glass engraver Tracey Sheppard FGE, on a stunning bespoke lead crystal bowl blown by Master Glassmaker, Carl Nordbruch. The bowl is held aloft by a handsome pedestal on a folded foot and is beautifully presented in a hand made box especially commissioned from Pauline Leclercq of The Wyvern Bindery.

Sheppard has been engraving for 43 years, having begun by chance whilst studying Art and English at university. She is a Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers. In 1996 she was made a Brother of The Art Workers' Guild and was honoured to serve the Guild as its Master in 2021. That year she was also awarded Maker of the Year at the Heritage Craft Awards.
Sheppard works on a variety of scale. Her larger architectural pieces may be found in many private and public buildings. These include the National Trust property, Dyrham Park, the Wessex Children's Hospice and Bristol, Portsmouth and Winchester Cathedrals.
Her work has been presented to Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. She made several pieces for a suite presented to No 10 Downing Street by the Glass Engraving Trust. Other commissions include works for the BBC, Chelsea Physic Garden, Civil Aviation Authority, The World Meteorological Society and The Royal Horticultural Society.
