the tri-sectioned, bulbous lower body supported by three robust trunk-like legs, each cast with a prominent animal mask, the upper body of a deep bowl form with a flaring mouth, surmounted by two upright twist-rope handles, decorated below the rim with a register enclosing three pairs of zoomorphic beasts shown in profile, set with a raised circular knob on the principal side above the lower body,wood stand, Japanese wood boxwith Zoroku Hata's inscription dated 1928
