The cartouche-shaped padded backs, arms and bowed seats upholstered in close-nailed green machined silk damask, the frames carved with stiff-leaf motif, the seat-rails carved with laurel, upon ring-turned fluted tapering legs headed by pinched collars and stiff-leaves terminating in foliate feet, redecorated, originally blue-and-parcel-gilt and retaining original decoration under later schemes 35 3⁄ 4 in. (91 cm.) high; 24. 1/4 in. (61.5 cm.) wide; 22 1⁄ 2 in.
